The worst candles that I have ever purchased in my entire life! Sure, the scent throw was good but the smell was unbearable and nauseating. I ordered 3 candles and each one was like this. It was so bad I had to put then out and won't ever use again. Contacted customer service who offered to issue a call tag for $10 and emphasized the importance careful and proper packaging of each candle. They want each candle to be individually and securely wrapped in the box. If the candle breaks no refund. This makes sense, however, why did they not take the same measures of protection packaging when they sent the candles out to me?! Sure I got my candles in one piece by some miracle but they were not individually wrapped. They were simply placed in the box altogether with two holders one on top and one on bottom.
I'm not sure why these candles have such great reviews? Have people never smelled a good candle. I have and this is not it. In fact, I ordered a second set of candles which arrived on the same day as this one from another company and those smelled amazing.
Like others I noticed that low rated reviews are not published or simply get deleted right away. The 1-2 stars are none existant and the 3 star is rare. I reviewed 2 of the candles with a 1 star and decided to rate one candle with 3 stars to test them out. What do you know?! My two 1 star rated reviews never showed up but my 3 star rated review did. Mind you all 3 ratings were submitted by me at around the same time. Though that still begs the question why do they have any 4-5 star ratings to begin with. Do people really like them, are they paid for the good reviews, or does the company just fake the reviews? And just what percentage of reviews is negative? I'd be willing to bet that well over half are negative and the company doesn't publish them nor does it do anything to improve its candles. They simply sell crap.
Ordered twice, first time it took over a month to get my candles and tracking linkt was not working.
Second time i ordered i received an other tracking link that didnt work, after a month i contacted customer service and found out my order was shipped back and my original ordered products are out of stock now.
Still having hopes for a decent compensation but will probably end with a simple sorry.

EU WEBSITE TO UK REVIEW
- right so I ordered these candles late on the 8th of June and they were at my house on the evening of the 11th. this is EXCEPTIONAL.
MY order consisted of
2 wicks in pumpkin waffles and in snickerdoodles
large jars in - angel food cake, chocolate angel cake, blueberry pancakes, blueberry muffins, iced sugar cookie, peach donut and strawberry angel food.
I have not lit all of them but the one I have lit is the one with the weakest cold throw (strength) and that is enough to fill a whole floor of a standard English semi.
which means hopes are high for the rest.
the only negative I have are the lack of variety compared to the US sure which has excellent choice on it and also the outer box was loose and not taped properly.
candles were double packaged in very very sturdy boxes etc though.
I would take a chance on GC again.
I ordered two 3 wick candles and 12 scented wax melts on May 28th, 2021 and I received it on June 4th , 2021. Everything smelled absolutely amazing. I liked every scent . However one of the candles came broken . It was the cherry pie farmhouse candle . I called customer service and had to send in photo proof but they are sending me another candle plus a $5 gift card . All in all it was an amazing experience . I appreciate the hood customer service as well. Things happen and it's not uncommon to get broken candles as I've received a few broken from other companies like bath and body. Some of the scents I wish were stronger but I can't deny my home smells so yummy!
I’m waiting for my order and I don’t like the idea that I can’t track my order. It says invalid. I have a funny feeling this order will take awhile. I did buy 36 candles for holiday gifts early so I’m hoping for the best. Fingers crossed for shipping in a timely manner.
I have no complaints about the products but I haven’t received my last two orders. The traking links doesn’t work. I live in Europe, maybe the delivery is better for US costumers but I personally do not dare to order again.
My experience with goose creek candle company has been up and down over the last 2 years but the 4 orders have been a HUGE let down. Over the last year I've probably bought 40 candles for Birthday or Easter or Christmas gifts. I used to LOVE the unique scents that they had along with the more traditional ones. Each order had more and more candles with no scent. Then this most recent order I only ordered 3. I was tired of ordering 7 or 8 candles only to have them sit in a box and collect dust because they have no scent. Of course all 3 candles smelled like wax. Its not like I've lost my sense of smell. Older candles that I've ordered from them still smell amazing. I mean, I have some candles from Walmart that have more scent. If it was a fluke thing I wouldn't mind so much. However sitting here staring at a box of candles that have amazing ratings on their website...I felt like l
must be missing something.
Then I noticed on their website, you will be hard pressed to find a negative review. In my experience whenever I've gone to leave a negative review, like the candle has no scent at all, or very little scent it will never get posted or I get an error message. Its not written in a nasty way or with any foul language so there isn't any reason for them not to post it. So I started to take notice of all the ratings on the site. VERY RARELY will you find a review below 3 stars and if it is, its because the person didn't like the way the candle smelled. Also I feel it's important to let people know that they encourage people to write reviews for free items. So I learned that you cannot rely on their ratings.
I would just like to say that not ALL of their candles are scentless. Usually the baked goods or straight floral ones are pretty strong atleast in my experience. However, they advertise that you can smell all of their candles throughout your house, and some can't make it past the flame.
Also, im my experience, their packaging is pretty good too. Typically my candles would come in a huge box. Inside the candles would be packed in styrofoam that is molded to fit, if I remember correctly, 6 candles, if necessary they could layer thin styrofoam and then more candles. Then they would take the same molded styrofoam to lock the candles in. So they definitely put effort into safe shipping. If only they put the same effort into quality control.

Positive- the candles burn clean and evenly
Negatives- I really had high hopes when I decided to purchase 6 candles from this company. Most of the candles that I ordered had an artificial cheap smell, reminiscent of dollar store candles. They should really work on that, perhaps use better quality oils .
Slow to ship as well and bogus hyped up sales. Also never a negative review is posted on their website, which I find shady.
Fast shipping and their packaging is phenomenal! I was definitely impressed with their packaging. Havent used te wax melts or soaps yet, but so far, I am very pleased!

Like some of the other reviews, I have been waiting over 3 weeks for my order. I am in Ireland so I feel it may be something to do with Brexit as a friend in the UK got hers There customer service is the worst ever, no reply and no refund.
Indifferent but nervous after these reviews. Fell in love with a hand soap I used and immediately placed an order. But after nearly 3 weeks (2 ofwhich are with “tracking” Canada Post!! I’m in Italy and ordered from the ‘EU’ site) I haven’t received anything. I’ve written a kind email and am 24 hours into waiting for a reply (weekdays)... so I’m hopeful!! Will update based on experience but can’t say I’d give the overall service more than 3 .. products can’t confirm quality yet but optimistic (4 or 5)
Absolute disgrace of a Company. Still have not received my Order & cannot get a straight answer from their supposed Customer Service. 1st time ordering & will Never use them again..Avoid at all costs. Not even worth 1 star.
